Spicy Coconut Fish Curry
So delicious, spicy and coconutty, the perfect fish curry for when you want to wow your friends and family with the most authentic and delicious Indian curry.
Feel free to substitute whatever protein and vegetables you like!

Ingredients
- 2-3 heaped tablespoons of Lord & Lion Spicy Coconut Kolhapur Masala blend
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 large red onion finely chopped
- 250g of mushrooms sliced
- 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon of garlic paste
- A tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 heaped tablespoon of tomato paste
- 500g – 700g of fish (salmon works well), cut into 3-4 cm pieces
- Salt to taste
Method
- Sauté the onions in the olive oil
- Add the mushrooms and sauté until nearly cooked
- Add the ginger and garlic, mix well, and cook for 2-3 minutes
- Add the Lord & Lion Masala Blend and mix all the spices through
- Add the tomato paste and lemon juice
- Add 1 1/4 cups of water and bring to the boil
- Add the fish and cook for 4 minutes
- Add 1 1/4 cups of coconut milk (or whatever substitute you like) and bring to the boil
- Let simmer for a few minutes until the fish is tender and cooked through
Salt to taste, garnish with some chopped red birds eye chilli and roasted cashews, or a sprig of coriander. Enjoy!
